Biography Jennifer was born and raised in New York and is from a Hispanic background. Her family is originally from the Dominican Republic. They migrated to the United States to find refuge from the Trujillo regime which left them jobless and homeless from this brutal dictatorship. Her family settled in Queens, New York and she is a first generation American in her family. She has an AOS Degree in Business Administration and Marketing. She began writing in her early 20’s when she embraced Islam on January 3, 2003. Her writings gave her a way of expressing the trials she overcame when living as a Muslim in a post 9/11 world. She has since grown in her knowledge and love for Islam and writes articles, essays, and poems relating to her personal experiences and world issues that affect the Muslim ummah.
